I graduated the Power Engineering Faculty - Department of Environmental Engineering in 2006. Starting with the same year, I followed doctoral studies both at the POLITEHNICA Bucharest (UPB-Romania) and at the University of Trento (UNITN - Italy) obtaining a double PhD degree in 2009 in the field of Environmental Engineering (from UNITN) and in 2010 in the field of Engineering Sciences (from UPB).
Currently, I am Lecturer at the Faculty of Biotechnical Systems Engineering, department of Biotechnical Systems of National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest.
My expertise and research areas involves B.A.T in the field of polluted soil remediation, environmental impact of different technological activities, waste management.
I am the author and co-author of over 32 articles published in ISI-listed journals in areas such as soil pollution; electrochemical technologies for soil treatment, waste management; environmental pollution. Also, I am the author and co-author of over 70 articles presented at national and international conferences. I participated, as coordinator / research member, in numerous research contracts in the field of soil pollution, evaluation of the efficiency of different soil remediation methods, environmental pollution. The most important project is the one that ended in April 2026 which had as main objective the "Establishment and operationalization of a Competence Center for Soil Health and Food Safety", which became a reality at the end of 2024 and I am the manager of the Competence Center for Soil Health and Food Safety.
