Graduated in Environmental Engineering in 2002 in the Polytechnic University of Bucharest (energy
and economics specialisation).
Since 2005 she got 3 PhD titles from Italian and Romanian universities: a PhD in Environmental
Engineering, a PhD in Energy Engineering and a PhD in Engineering and Management..
In 2016, she received the Eminent Scientist Medal from the Wessex Institute of Technology.
Member of more of 100 scientific committees of international conferences, she is Author of co-Author of more than 300 articles in conferences and journals (more than 250 articles are indexed in the SCOPUS® database, giving an H index =43).
Editor of many Special Issues on International Journals.
She is Associate Professor in the University of Insubria, Italy. In 2023, she got the Italian National Qualification to function as Full Professor, valid until 2034.
She is also member of the Doctoral School Committee in Chemical and Environmental Sciences in the University of Insubria.
She was ranked in the top 2% scientists list of the World Ranking published by Stanford University (the
